• Monday, May 4 (confirmed) - Afternoon practice starts. See Practice Times. Pre-team does not start practice until school lets out and we switch to AM practices.
• Tuesday, May 12 - (confirmed) Required competition team parent orientation and t-shirt distribution during practice. You only need to attend one session if you have multiple swimmers. Pre-team parents do not need to attend.
• Thursday, May 21 - No Practice (NISD Last Day)
• Friday, May 22 - (confirmed) Morning Practice Starts. Pre-Team practice starts. See Practice Times.

• Wednesday, May 27 (confirmed) - Home Swim Meet vs Trophy Ridge. DURING MORNING PRACTICE TIMES. (No Pre-team practice.) 
• Monday, June 1 (confirmed) - Home Swim Meet vs Westcreek. 4:45 pm Meet Start. Team Photo 3:30 pm on clubhouse stairs. (Pre-Team is invited to be in the team picture.) Warm ups 3:45 pm. Morning 20 minute diving block practice by age group -- times TBA. (No Pre-team practice.) 
• Saturday, June 6, (confirmed) - Away Swim Meet at Northwest Crossing. Warm Ups 7 am, Meet starts 7:30 am.
• Wednesday, June 10 (confirmed) - Swim-A-Thon during regular practice. Pre-team does not do Swim-A-Thon; they have regular practice.
• Monday, June 15 (confirmed) -  Away Swim Meet at Colonies North. 5 pm start time, Warm up time 4:25 for 10 and Under, 4:40 for 11 and Older. The coaches must confirm the relays during warm ups. If you are late to warm ups, you may be removed from relays, so be on time or tell Coach in advance if you need to be late. There is rain in the forecast; Pay attention to the app for potential rain delay or cancelation info. (No Pre-team practice.)
• Monday, June 22 (confirmed) - Spirit Day after each group's normal practice time. 
• Tuesday, June 23 (confirmed - this date has been updated from our initial confirmation date of June 22!) - 6 and Under Fun Meet at NISD Swim Center. 5:30 pm Warm ups, 6 pm Meet Start
• Tuesday, June 23 (confirmed) - No morning practice. No Pre-team practice. Champs diving block practice at NISD Natatorium in afternoon: 1-1:30 pm for 10 and Under, 1:30-2 pm for 11 and Older
• Wednesday June 24 (confirmed) - Divisional Champs Meet (including 6 and Unders) at NISD Swim Center; Doors Open 7 am, 8 am Warm Ups, 9 am Meet Starts (The SwimTopia Meet Schedule from the league shows a 10 am start time, but they have more recently communicated the start time is 9 am, so please plan on a 9 am Meet Start.)
• Monday, June 29 (confirmed), 3-7pm - Awards + Celebration Event

New and returning competition team parents are required to join us for a quick orientation meeting during the first few week of practice during your kid's practice time. We will review the expectations for the season and distribute team t-shirts if they are ready. If you have multiple swimmers on the team, you only need to attend one orientation session. Pre-team parents do not need to attend.

Pre-team and competition swimmers, wear your Barracuda shirt and put on a smile for a quick team photo on the stairs at the clubhouse. The photo will be available to download for free. Check out past team photos here. 

Our Swim-A-Thon fundraiser lets our athletes test their limits and have fun while raising money to update the team’s equipment and pay bonuses to our high school coaches. The event is held during regular practice times. (Pre-team does not participate in the Swim-A-Thon; they have regular practice that day.)

Before our Champs Swim Meet, immediately after each group's morning practice, we'll serve pancakes, decorate our cars, apply temporary tattoos, and paint our fingernails to show our team spirit. We will need parent volunteers to donate breakfast items and help serve the food. And if you have creative ideas to make spirit day more fun, contact us -- we'd love to get you involved!

Points earned during this swim meet determine the top swim team in the NISD Division 1 Summer League, and the Barracudas are always a contender for the top honor. 

All competition team swimmers (including 6 and Unders) swim during Champs; they do not have to qualify for the meet. The meet is held at the NISD outdoor Swim Center. The meet officials keep the meet moving swiftly, but be prepared for the meet to last from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.

Join us at the pool for swimming, our annual parent swim relay race, food, and our awards presentation. Swimmers and their families can swim and enjoy free pizza and snacks.

We'll award participant ribbons to all, anniversary awards, and trophies for the Most Valuable Swimmer and Most Improved Swimmers in each competition age group

Doors will open at 3 pm for open swim. The parent relay race will be at 5 pm, followed by pizza. Then the awards presentation will start at 6pm. The night will wrap up by 7pm.
