The Braun Station Swim Team was established in 1981 with about 34 swimmers. The team's mascot was the Seagulls. The team's first head coach was Doug Andrew, the Marshall High School swimming coach, who led the team until his retirement in 2003. In 2004, the team changed its mascot to the Barracudas. Subsequent head coaches have been Joe O'Malley (2004-2022), Christina Via (2023), Madalyn Rayburg (2024-) and Ashley Paul (2026-).
