Registration is now open for the 2026 Braun Station Barracudas Summer League Swim Team! Registration closes May 1, but don't delay in signing up since some age groups fill quickly.

Swimmers from inside and outside the Braun Station subdivision, ages 4-18, who are capable of safely swimming the length of the pool without assistance should sign up for the regular/competition team.

Swimmers 4 and older who cannot yet swim the entire pool length unassisted may sign up for the non-competition pre-team group. To qualify for pre-team, kids cannot be fearful of the water -- they must be willing to submerge their faces in the water and practice with their in-the-water coaches without using arm floaties or life vests. Additionally, they must be able to listen and follow directions for the entire 30 minute practice.

We are still finalizing our practice times as well as the dates for swim meets and special events, but you can see the proposed schedule on the website. The proposed practice start date for the competition team is May 4, and pre-team starts May 22.

Please understand that volunteering is an essential part of summer league swim team. In order for the season to run smoothly, we require at least one adult from each competition team family to volunteer at each swim meet your family attends including at Champs. If your family does not fulfill its volunteer requirement, your kid cannot be on the team. Extenuating circumstances can be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Pre-team parents are not required to volunteer at meets.

Sign ups for volunteer roles will open in the SwimTopia app about a week before each swim meet. While you are volunteering, you will be able to step away from your post to see your child's races, and some roles like Timers and Officials give you an up-close view of the races. There are roles, such as Tent Parent or Pool Set Up/Tear Down that make it easier to watch non-swimmer siblings while serving. There are even roles in the air conditioner like Concessions. If you need help finding the right fit, let us know during the parent orientation at the beginning of the season. No experience is necessary; just bring a positive attitude, and we'll show you the ropes!
