From a club owner...

I own a local year round swim program and I am reaching out for a quick introduction to our program.  I have owned several swim programs over the last 17 years and recently started MGRSwim Sports.  We swim in 3 indoor heated lap pools and we are establishing a new program that caters to summer swim team participants looking for an off-season training program. (Gold Gym pools, including the one off Bandera/1604).

From my own experience as a swim school owner I have seen over the years that there is a large contingent of families that love doing summer swim team but don't want to make the full blown commitment that year round swim teams require.  These families in some cases come to programs like ours to refine current strokes or learn new ones for the next season.  We have facilitated this traditionally in our regular class levels but I am now creating a special program just for them. 

We don't have our own swim team or swim league and never will.  Our focus is helping swimmers from beginners to advanced maximize their swim potential.  Our new program is called Competitive Edge and is designed to be one 1 hour practice weekly during the off season.  Practices will have a small 6:1 swimmer to coach ratio and swimmers will be grouped by age and ability.  Our commitment is to help the swimmers improve times and technique while staying in touch with their summer swim team rep/coach with monthly updates (if they choose).  We are also committed to supporting the swim league and their teams in the future.  For swimmers we serve through this program, 10% of revenue will be put back into their team/league in the form of a sponsorship for next season.
