Barracudas who are participating in CHAMPS, here is some important info.  Please read through it all (Amy C. ;) so you don't miss anything.  Newest meet entries attached.

1.  The meet is Sunday.  Starts at 3:10.  Warm-up is at 2.  Doors open at 1:30.  Place: Palo Alto Natatorium 1400 W. Villaret Blvd., San Antonio, 78224

2.  Our team will caravan from the Braun Station Elementary front parking lot pull through.  We will LEAVE at 1:00.  Get in line to caravan before 1!  

3.  You are not allowed to bring in any coolers.  You can put small food from home in your swim bag, but no coolers and no outside restaurant food (Starbucks, Sonic, McDonalds, etc.)  There will be food trucks there from whom you can purchase and bring in.

4.  We will have a tent and table set up outside for our check in.  The 2 ladies who are working check-in need to be there by 1:15.  All Barracuda volunteers (only those who have been asked to volunteer for this meet) need to check-in at our table.  And all Barracuda swimmers.  They will direct you to where our team is sitting after check-in.  Our team team will also be on the bleachers.

Judges, team reps, coaches, scorekeepers can enter the natatorium at 1:00 p.m. to finish set-up. Parents and swimmers are not allowed in until 1:30 p.m.

5.Meet programs will be on sale for $5 each.  I will also send heat sheets you can print (along with all the ads the put in there.)

6.  Warm up at 2:00 - Braun Station: older pool lanes 2 & 3 and younger pool lane 3.

7.  ALL SWIMMERS MUST REMAIN WITH THEIR LINE UP BENCH.  Swimmers cannot sit with parents at this meet.  It is too busy for kids to be found with parents and things move so fast that we need to make sure they are with their line up in order to make it to all of their events.  If your child has difficulty sitting with the team, a parent can join them on the bench.  However, our parents are asked to sit across from the swimmers on the side of the pool where you enter into the room.  No chairs are allowed.  You will have bleacher seats.  We will begin with some relays in the older pool and then we will begin running 2 pools.  5-10 year olds are in the younger pool.  11 and up are in the older pool.  They will be running simultaneously.  Our older kids, 13 and up are responsible for making it to their events.  All 12 and unders have line up parents.  Line up parents, please arrive by 1:30.

8.  Timers, (you know who you are) will have a meeting at 2:30.

9.  We ask that all swimmers stay until the end of the meet just in case there are any changes and we need to add any swimmers to events.  It makes it difficult to make changes when you leave early.

10.  Please remember to clean up your area, help your swimmer clean up their area and take all your personal items with you.  It is easy to lose things at this meet.

11.  Those swimmers and relays that qualify for ALL STARS from this CHAMPS meet will me notified early next week.  ALL STARS is Thursday.

FRIDAY IS OUR LAST DAY OF PRACTICE.  We will be decorating cars in the parking lot on Friday, so come ready to shoe polish!  We will also be having our Bobcat Boutique on Friday.  Come with nail polish off, ready to get some Barracuda Spirit!
