Calling all Barracuda Parents!~

As our 2017 Swim Season approaches we are in great need of parents to train as officials.  Last year we were short officials and it made things a bit difficult for us in our new league, so we are asking some parents to step up and serve as officials this year.  The job of an official is the judge the meet.  Each meet will have several officials who are working together.  We need to keep a number of trained officials so that we can spread out the volunteering for this position.  I am especially asking those who have been on our team for a few years and who will be around for a few years to come.  Even if you can only do this a few times this season, it would really help us if you were trained for it as even a backup.  

This is a great way to serve our team.  You can do it!   AND we really need you!

The important piece is, if you are to serve as an official, you must go to a league training.  Returning officials just go to a refresher.  New officials go to a "new" training.  Here are the training dates and times. You only need attend once.  

Rules Clinic #1 - May 7.  Returning officials 1:00 - 2:00.  New officials 2:00 - 4:00

Rules Clinic #2 - May 13. Returning officials 1:00 - 2:00.  New officials 2:00 - 4:00

Rules Clinic #3 - May 21.  Returning officials 1:00 - 2:00.  New officials 2:00 - 4:00

Rules Clinic Poolside - May 23.  For those who will judge stroke and starters.  (If a few of you could do this in addition to the basic rules clinic that would be GREAT.)  6-7pm.

Most of these will be at the Jewish Community Center.  I will let you know if I hear otherwise.
